• Do keep plumbing in the same location if possible. You want to spend your money where you can see it, not buried under the floor.
• Don´t go with pro series appliances. Most of these items are going to have hidden install costs. You can still get the same look with quality residential series appliances.
• Do work with a designer that has extensive experience in kitchens and baths. There are several "tweaks" a pro knows that can add that "wow" look. Adding corbels, legs, crown molding and end panels is where that high-end look comes from.
• Do request full overlay cabinet doors and drawers. This is where the cabinet doors and drawers completely cover the face frame of the cabinets; the cabinets look more like furniture.
• Do add indirect lighting above and under cabinets. This gives an incredible return in ambiance and atmosphere.
